Teletherapy

I have a HIPPA-compliant teletherapy platform.  This means it is encrypted and confidential to meet HIPPA guidelines for privacy.  The COVID-19 crisis will undoubtably cause many  of us to experience grief and loss, not only of loved ones, but of our everyday way of life.  The  strain experienced due to the crisis may exacerbate prior conditions such as depression, anxiety, addiction and trauma symptoms and also put strain on our relationships.  I have been grateful for the availability of this technology so that I can continue to serve my clients during this increased time of need.  This will be a change for some of you and I am committed to making the transition to a videoconferencing platform smooth, simple, and connected.

Research has demonstrated the benefits of teletherapy in peer-reviewed journals.  In our initial consult, in addition to rates and insurance, we will discuss how to access the platform and how to make the most of our session together.  I'm happy to walk you through this process in our initial consult or another time prior to our first session.  Before our initial online session I will send you a link that will give you access to the our meeting.  I encourage you to reach out and I look forward to speaking with you in person.

Rates and Insurance

I currently accept out of network insurance, including but not limited to the following insurance plans:

     BCBS PPO
     BCBS POS
     Optum PPO
     Aetna PPO
     Tufts PPO
     Harvard Vanguard PPO
     Harvard Vanguard POS

     Harvard Pilgrim PPO
     Harvard Pilgrim POS

Cigna PPO
     United Behavioral Health PPO

If you have a PPO, POS or other insurance plan that provides out of network benefits and you wish to use it for therapy, call the member's number on the back of your insurance card (there may be a specific number for "Behavioral Health") and ask what your specific plan will cover.  These types of plans usually pay a percentage of your visit after the deductible is filled.  You will need to ask the amount of your deductible and what percentage of the session cost your plan will pay.

Many of my clients have a Health Savings Account (HSA) through their employer that will cover the deductible and copays.

You may also pay out of pocket for therapy services.  My current rates are as follows:
Individual Therapy: $200 per 50 minute session
Couples Therapy $235 per 50 minute session
Group Therapy: $60 for a 75 minute group session
